How to Stand Tall When Life Gets Toughš¦µ

Let's dive in!
1 The Lord is my light and my salvationāwhom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my lifeāof whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked advance against me to devour me,
it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall.
3 Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me even then I will be confident.
4 One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.
5 For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling;
he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock.
6 Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me;
at his sacred tent I will sacrifice with shouts of joy;
I will sing and make music to the Lord.
Saturday Devotional:
David kicks off Psalm 27 with a bold declaration: God is his light, his salvation, and his stronghold.
Think about thatā¦
Light drives out darkness, salvation rescues us from danger, and a stronghold is a place of safety.
With God, thereās no need for fear. David is facing some serious threatsāenemies that want to take him downābut heās not shaking in his boots.
Heās confident, not because of his own strength, but because he trusts God completely.
Davidās one desire? To hang out with God all the time. ā¤ļø
He wants to be in Godās presence, soaking in His beauty and wisdom. And when trouble comes, David knows Godās got a hiding place ready for him.
Picture a kid playing hide-and-seek whoās always found the best hiding spotāsafe, secure, and out of reach. Thatās what God offers us. š¤²
What does this mean for us?
Life can be a rollercoaster, and sometimes we feel like weāre surrounded by challenges. But like David, we can have confidence. God is our light in the darkness, our rescuer, and our fortress. When we focus on staying close to Him, we find peace and courage. š

What fears do I need to give to God today?
How can I make seeking Godās presence a daily habit?
In what ways can I trust God as my stronghold in tough times?

Prayer:
Lord, thank you for being my light, salvation, and stronghold. Help me to trust you with my fears and to seek your presence every day. Remind me that you are my safe place and give me the courage to face lifeās challenges with confidence. Amen.
